As a former UNLV student, this past weekend holds a special place in my heart, because it reminds me of how much I cherished my time there. It also reminds me how vital a solid education is to our children's future. Much like our newly graduated students, I had doors opened for me in my life because of my education, and I believe everyone should have those same opportunities. A diploma should not be out of anyone's reach.
As a former teacher and principal, seeing students succeed always leaves me smiling. A strong education prepares our children for the adventure ahead of them. As Nevadans, we need to be able to rely on our education system to prepare our children for the real world and to give them the skills they need to succeed in life.
Our education system needs a defender, and I have dedicated my life to doing just that. I want to continue fighting for our children's future as your State Senator. I encourage you to contact me with any questions you have about my views on education. You can call me at (702) 488-2766, or email me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Congratulations, recent graduates! I am very happy for all of you!
All my best,
